May 25th, 2010 |Hey, hey, hey! I know it’s been way over a minute since I’ve been on here. I just had to prep myself for the spring/summer season. I just put up a new track out. It’s a remix of Gyptian’s “Hold Yuh”. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to upload it to the mp3 player, but I’ll do you one better! We are going to be shooting a video for it starting this week. I also started working on a mixtape so you can enjoy all my music.

December 31st, 2009 |I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year. I am so excited for the projects I have coming up for you all in 2010. The Gamers Love video will be out in the new year and I heard it is looking really sweet! Thank you to everyone who has supported me through my career!

Law Abiding Citizen

I am not usually a movie go-er, but I came across an old movie pass that was admission for two plus free drinks and popcorn! I’m thinking, “Wicked!”. Me and my buddy decided to check out “Law Abiding Citizen”. We didn’t really know the plot line, but it looked promising. Now this movie is described as a thriller and you best believe it is. I can’t even count the times I screamed out in the theater!! LOL! I just loved this film so much and I usually don’t leave a movie talking about it the next day or even blogging about it!
I can give you a full-out plot description, but I’ll do you one better. Here is the trailer. I don’t even think the trailer does the movie justice! If you like guns, action, corruption, and gore, this one is for you!

Jamila B. Remembering Aaliyah

Today marks the 8th year that Aaliyah has been gone. I can’t believe it has been that long. Aaliyah has been an artist I admired a lot. There has been many talent shows where I danced and sang her songs. I always liked how she had trippy sounds in her music with Timbaland…I guess that is where I got my love for intricate vibes. She had a style of her own and no one has captured it truly since.
I was so upset when I heard the news about Aaliyah’s death. Aaliyah’s passing hit hard since I was really getting into her new music. It is crazy that she left the world so young, basically at my age.
I guess as we get older, we are going to see more and more of our favourite artists leave us. One thing that is great about music is that it will always be left behind for us to remember and enjoy.
Rest in Peace Aaliyah.

Baby Cham Cancelled

Oh snap! I just got the word that Baby Cham cannot make it into Canada. Sorry to everyone who bought their tickets or who were planning to go. You can get a full refund, so don’t worry! The party will still continue on for that night, $5 before 12:30am and $10 afterwards!! Of course I won’t leave you guys hanging. Dj Verse One is holding a Customer Appreciation Party at Club 77 on August 28th, so you’ll still be able to get a performance from me!! I will also be at the 2nd Annual Fix Our World Festival at Pier 4 Waterfront Park on September 4th. Get all the details on my “Show” page!
